About Me
My Name is Dudett
You might be curious about my background. Over many years of nursing in Ontario, I have worked as a Register Nurse in numerous settings, and I have considerable experience in acute care nursing, medical-surgical nursing, maternal health, gerontological, and rehabilitation nursing. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), and I recently completed a Master of Education (M.Ed.), both of my degrees are from St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia, Canada, and I am now pursuing a PhD in Educational Studies at the same university. I am passionate about adult education, curriculum development in nursing education and the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered nurses (NCLEX-RN). My thesis entitled
Factors that Influence Performance on the Canadian National Council Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) has offered implications for a continuous journey to support future learning strategies and research in nursing education.
Teaching is one of my deepest passions, and my mission as a nursing professor is to make a lasting difference in the lives of my students by supporting their educational journey. At home, I am married with three children; however, I find some time to indulge in my favourite hobbies, going for nature walks, practicing my meditations, and doing yoga exercises.
